HUAWEI Exhibition Area of MWCS 2021 is operated by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (Huawei) who provide technology and management support. Huawei is very aware of how important your privacy is to you, and is committed to respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy ("this Policy") describes how Huawei uses your personal data and protects your privacy when you visit HUAWEI Exhibition Area of MWCS 2021 (“the Exhibition”) or you register to attend the Exhibition online. By agreeing to this Policy and providing your personal data to Huawei, you allow Huawei to collect your personal data and provide you with services and information based on your personal data.

The personal data we collect and process includes:

  • During Website/on-site registration: name, email addresses, country/region, enterprise name, job position, business relationship between your organization with Huawei and login information (account name and password). We will use the information base on your consent to register the visit to the Exhibition or our online Exhibition.
  • RFID and Bluetooth button: we will provide RFID card with Bluetooth button to every visitor to the Exhibit. We will collect the cardholder's real time location information in the Exhibition through Bluetooth button the purpose of mapping the live real-time heat, and the number of people present, the number of visitors and the average stay time of the customer group/group on the booth.
  • Entry detection: According to the government's epidemic prevention and control requirements, we must use face recognition and temperature measuring device to verify that all the attendee's body temperature is normal before entering the Exhibition Area. The facial recognition temperature measuring device will collect your facial information and body temperature data for the purpose of verifying your identity and visiting permission, and determine whether your instant body temperature meets the anti-epidemic requirements for entering the Exhibition Area. Your body temperature and facial information data will not be stored or retained.
  • On-site live broadcast: we may collect your portrait by picture or video base on our legitimate interest to make propagate for the Exhibition. The way we display onsite activities includes but is not limited to large public screens and our website.
  • Business card collection: we will collect your personal data stated on your business card base on your consent while you giving us your business card. We will use the information for the further business contact and to send you the further information about Huawei products/solutions/services though the contact information from your business card.
  • As speaker: if you are invited as a speaker in the Exhibition, we will collect your Biography and Photo base on your consent to make propagate for the Exhibition.
  • During or after the Exhibition, we will collect your Login time, exit time, playback content and duration, online interactive messages, and voting information. We will use the information to analyze the overall interests of our invitees in our products to enhance our service quality. We may collect your information in questionnaires based on your consent. We will integrate this information with the information you have previously submitted to Huawei, so that we can provide better products and services to you.
  • If you agree to be informed of the latest products, services, and events information via emails, Huawei will keep you updated using your personal data and contact information. We may contact you in a way that you have actively chosen and accepted. You can unsubscribe to Huawei's updates at any time if you do not want to stay informed.
  • We may use your personal data for the following purposes:

    (a) Registering for your visit to the Exhibition on-site or online.

    (b) Providing you with Exhibition services or specific experiences.

    (c) Measuring the body temperature to ensure compliance with anti-epidemic requirements and verity your identity and visiting permission.

    (e) Fulfilling your requests for changes or providing you with information you have requested (such as marketing materials for products and services, and white papers); and providing technical support.

    (f) Contacting you with your consent; sending you information about products and services that may interest you; inviting you to participate in Huawei activities (including promotional activities), market surveys, or satisfaction surveys; or sending you marketing information. If you do not want to receive these types of information, you can opt out at any time.

    (g) Providing you with customized user experience and content.

    (h) Improving our products and services through internal audits, data analysis, and research.

    Huawei may also collect and use non-personally identifiable information (Non-PII). Non-PII is information that cannot be used to identify a particular individual. For example, Huawei will collect statistical data, such as the numbers of visits to its website. We collect this data to understand how users use our websites, products, and services, so that we can improve our services and better satisfy your needs. Huawei may collect, use, process, transfer, or disclose non-PII for other purposes at its own discretion.

The standards Huawei uses to determine the retention period are as follows: the time required to retain personal data to fulfill business purposes, including providing products and services; maintaining corresponding transaction and business records; controlling and improving the performance and quality of products and services; ensuring the security of systems, products, and services; handling possible customer queries or complaints and locating problems; whether the customer agrees to a longer retention period; and whether the laws, contracts, and other equivalencies have special requirements for data retention; etc. We will delete immediately for the scenarios of RFID and Bluetooth button and on-site interactive demonstration and only keep anonymous analysis result. We will maintain your registration information as long as your account is necessary for service provision. You can choose to deregister your account. After you deregister your account, we will stop providing you with products and services through your account and delete your relevant personal data registered for the Exhibition, provided that deletion is not otherwise stipulated by special legal requirements.

    6. Third-Party Providers and Their Services

    To ensure a positive Exhibition experience, you may receive content or web links from third parties other than Huawei ("third parties"). We may use third parties like Sinobase (Beijing) Marketing Technology Co.,Ltd,Publicis.Sapient China Co., Ltd, Beijing Vhall Technology Co., Ltd, Beijing Deep Communication Design Consulting Co., Ltd, etc to provide related service to you on behalf of Huawei. To enable the third parties to provide such service, we may share some of your personal information with them for legitimate, necessary, specific, and explicit purpose. In addition, we will sign a strict non-disclosure agreement with third parties, requiring them to keep your personal information strictly confidential in accordance with our instructions, this Policy, and any other non-disclosure agreements, and prohibiting them from using your personal information for any other purpose.

    The Exhibition will be held in China and online, therefore, the personal data you submit to Huawei will be transferred to China.
