OSN 9800 U Series

OSN 9800 U Series

The OptiX OSN 9800 U series includes the OptiX OSN 9800 U64, OptiX OSN 9800 U32, and central cluster chassis (CCC). This next-generation large-capacity OTN product series is intended for beyond 200G/400G. It has the industry's highest integration, provides a maximum of five 200G coherent line optical ports in a single slot, and supports future evolution to over 1T. The cross-connect capacity of a single U64/U32 subrack reaches 64T/32T, which can be expanded to more than 200T using clusters, saving equipment room space and improving energy efficiency. The OptiX OSN 9800 U series supports a variety of services, such as Ethernet, OTN, SDH, storage, and video services, and integrates ROADM, 10 Tbit/s universal switching, IEEE 1588v2, synchronous Ethernet, ASON, TSDN, and various management and protection functions. It is the optimal 100G/400G OTN platform in the industry and provides carriers with OTN/WDM transmission solutions featuring ultra broadband, flexible grooming, elasticity, and intelligence.

The industry's largest capacity MS-OTN and OTN cluster platform, with flexible service grooming

  • Provides the industry's largest OTN cross-connect capacity. The OptiX OSN 9800 U series can offer congestion-free 64 Tbit/s cross-connections, which can be expanded to over 200 Tbit/s by using a cluster solution. With such a large cross-connect capacity, this series enables flexible grooming of massive services.
  • Supports large-capacity OTN electrical cross-connections and 20-degree ROADM optical cross-connections. Doing so achieves flexible wavelength-level and subwavelength-level grooming, fast service provisioning, and quick delivery, improving network flexibility.
  • Provides a unified switching matrix with Tbit/s switching chips to implement universal OTN/VC/packet access, switching, and transmission.
  • Enables service switching, grooming, and transmission on the node in any format, such as PW, LSP, Ethernet, ODUk, or VC, greatly improving networking flexibility.
  • Provides the industry exclusive 200G universal line board and the 100GE tributary board that supports L2 functions, enabling efficient transmission of IP services.

Optimal 200G/400G transmission technology, meeting future bandwidth requirements

  • Uses industry-leading super 200G technology to implement up to 5000 km transmission without electrical regeneration.
  • Features the industry's highest level of integration. A single slot of the OptiX OSN 9800 U series supports a maximum of five 200G coherent line optical ports, and each subrack can provide up to 320 200G ports as well as up to 640 100GE ports on the client side. This ultra-high integration saves equipment room space and reduces energy consumption.
  • Achieves the industry's first commercial use of 200G/400G and supports evolution to 1T/2T in the future.

Energy-saving and easy maintenance, improving O&M efficiency

  • Leverages best-of-breed technologies, such as refined and dynamic energy saving mechanisms, and intelligent warm backup to achieve energy efficiency.
  • Monitors the OSNR performance of any wavelength (10G/40G/100G/200G/400G) at any site online, and enables fast deployment and troubleshooting through the OD system, eliminating the need for expensive instruments and reducing maintenance costs.
  • Integrates the OTDR function to detect fiber parameters online through OSC boards and rapidly locate fiber failure and deterioration points.
  • Provides an advanced bandwidth resource platform, enabling visualized, simple, and intelligent O&M. This platform is easy to use, displays the current bandwidth distribution with a visualized interface, automatically evaluates bandwidth trends, reports alarms if bandwidth is insufficient, and supports user-friendly human-computer interaction.
  • Uses a unique intelligent power supply pool and the "pay as you grow" mode, supporting visible power supply management on the NMS to achieve on-demand power allocation and expansion.
  • Supports the transmission of 2M, IEEE 1588v2, and synchronous Ethernet clocks to fully satisfy the clock precision requirements on 3G, 4G, and wireless networks.
