At the core of Huawei's “All Cloud” strategy is the full reconstruction of infrastructure networks in four respects – equipment, network, services, and operations. The strategy aims to create systematic strengths in pooled hardware resources, fully distributed software architecture, and full automation.

Equipment Cloudification

Equipment Cloudificaton (NFC) refers to cloudization at the device level. Through hardware and software decoupling, the hardware adopts a common X86 server architecture, runs different VNFs, and implements dedicated device functions. This is often referred to as NFV.

Network Cloudification

Network cloudization is based on equipment cloudization. SDN technology is introduced to restructure the network architecture to separate control and service planes. Through the programmable control plane, the SDN controller maintains a view of the entire network and intelligently schedules the entire network service. The service plane implements forwarding action based on the information received from the control plane. Greatly reduce the adaptation of thousands of standard protocols among traditional devices.

Service Cloudification

Service cloudization refers to Huawei's provision of telecommunications capabilities as production data to operators or operational ISPs in the form of cloud services to support carrier/operating ISPs in developing telecommunication services.
     The content provided by the service cloudization is telecommunication capabilities, such as network control capabilities, security capabilities, phone/flow control capabilities, network management capabilities, and operation and maintenance capabilities, rather than telecommunications services that are consumed by end consumers themselves.    
  Service cloudization applies to all products and solutions provided by operators, including cloud-based products in the areas of network, core network, operation and maintenance, and operations.
