acquisition, and a myriad of legacy VAS systems, Orange Spain saw the need to rationalize and reduce the
different operations and management silos as part of a business initiative to improve innovation, reduce timeto-
market for new services, increase customer experience and reduce cost of operations & maintenance.
Huawei’s extensive understanding of Telecom systems and services helped Orange to rationalize existing VAS products
and services, design a consolidated view of legacy services and barked on a modernization activities. This included
clustering and virtualizing VAS assets for a cloud based operation.
Orange Spain has now achieved over 80% transformation to Cloud VAS and reduced cost of operations by
consolidating thirteen data centers into two. Huawei is now the single point of contact responsible for operations and
management of VAS systems and applications with E2E accountability for SLAs. Huawei’s Carrier Software professional
services offers a smooth journey to cloud to deliver compelling outcomes such as reduced engagement complexity
to provide Orange Spain with operations excellence in service creation, fulfillment and assurance at predictably lower
cost.
