SingleEPC

SingleEPC

The SingleEPC solution is a unified packet core network that inherits EPC advantages. This solution supports multiple MBB access modes and provides various services with simplicity, reliability, openness, rapid revenue generation, and superior user experience. The final result is a system that subsequently increases MBB network performance, bandwidth management, and O&M efficiency to meet MBB development requirements.

Simplicity and Reliability

With six available access modes (including GSM, UMTS, LTE, Wi-Fi, and CDMA) supported by a single device, networking must be simplified. Transmission Control Protocol (TCP), video, and web optimization as well as additional value-added services can be deployed in the same subrack. One set of device boasts the industry-largest throughput and service processing capability, so that the minimum number of hardware devices is required under the same service scale. This facilitates the simplification of device networking.

The stable and robust EPC features protection from signaling storms and additionally prevents signaling storms from producing NE overloads or failures from occurring on peripheral NEs. Intelligent signaling optimization, such as precise paging, reduces unnecessary paging and improves signaling-plane efficiency.

Optimal User Experience

Video and voice services constitute two crucial MBB services. Video emerges as the most rapidly growing subscribed service, while voice is the largest legacy service. User experience is the key focus for improvement in the provision of both services.

Mobile video services are accelerated from multiple aspects. TCP optimization is introduced to increase transmission rate and efficiency. Application-layer and E2E optimizations allow for high-quality videos that feature 3s buffering and zero freezing. The VoLTE solution provides reliable, maintainable, and high quality voice bearers to deliver HD voice services anytime anywhere.

The SingleEPC enables comprehensive network visualization, with KPIs (indicating network quality) and QoEs (implying quality of experience) being the key guidance criteria for service optimization.

Openness and Revenue-Generation

Network capabilities are opened to broaden the industry chain. Open locations, QoS, charging, green Internet surfing, and additional new services are rolled out to cultivate new income sources.

Anti-spoofing is adopted in SingleEPC to reduce charging-related losses of carriers. SingleEPC provides a complete set of preventative warning mechanisms against HTTP- and DNS- spoofing.
