VAS is a focused business for XL, and it sought to enable seamless interworking between its mobile platform and the foundry of digital services in the market to drive new growth. As part of its drive to leverage VAS as a lever for expedited growth, XL teamed up with Huawei to embark on a VAS transformation journey that will address gaps in business, operations and technology.

Huawei successfully aggregated digital content and service providers into a re-engineered VAS environment by reengineering “onboarding” business processes, exposing new integration points by using APIs, and implementing an operations & management framework that will assure VAS quality and settlement assurance.

The successful model of engagement between XL and Huawei is now a business model with Huawei as the single point of contact for VAS. Huawei is responsible for new partner onboarding, service aggregation and E2E operational responsibility for all multi-vendor VAS backend. XL is now open to VAS business now ever than it was before, working with new partners and consistently growing revenues with improved customer experience.
