Huawei iManager U2000 Successfully Interconnects with HP OpenView TeMIP

In July, 2006, Huawei iManager U2000 successfully interconnected with HP OpenView TeMIP, based on their good cooperation relationship.

In July, 2006, Huawei leveraged a close cooperative relationship with HP to interconnect their iManager M2000 system with the HP OpenView TeMIP.

Huawei iManager U2000 (U2000 for short) is a centralized operation and maintenance system for Huawei mobile products. It provides the following functions to centrally manage Huawei wireless network elements (NEs):

  • Topology management
  • Configuration management
  • Performance management
  • Fault management
  • Log management
  • Security management

It also provides open northbound interfaces for the NMS.

The TeMIP Huawei U2000 AM is a southbound interface module based on Huawei CORBA interfaces. It provides centralized fault and configuration management for Huawei mobile network devices. The TeMIP collects Huawei mobile network device alarms reported by the U2000 and supports the following functions:

Queries and acknowledges alarms.

Compresses repeated alarms and correlates between them.

Synchronizes the NE attribute information and the logical relationships between RNCs and NodeBs from the U2000.

Both parties discuss and study integrated solutions in terms of function implementation and conduct tests on all product functions in the Huawei OSS joint lab to ensure rapid integration between Huawei mobile network devices and HP OpenView TeMIP.
