With the increased popularity of smartphones in Thailand, mobile broadband (MBB) services are growing quickly.  As a result, the frequent upgrades of AIS networks to meet this demand is posing new challenges in network maintenance and optimization. In order to address and resolve these challenges, AIS decided to implement automatic network optimization and selected the Huawei SingleSON solution to achieve it.

Huawei’s SingleSON solution automatically manages key aspects of multi-RAT, multi-layer and multi-vendor networks to improve overall O&M efficiency and network performance. By implementing the solution, AIS will comprehensively enhance operation and maintenance efficiency and network quality, as well as provide a superior MBB network and outstanding MBB services for users. The solution has already successfully passed the AIS live network admission test and, according to the verification results, delivered outstanding performance and exceeded customer expectations.

To date, Huawei’s SingleSON solution has been deployed on more than 150 networks globally. According to a report  issued by Tolaga Research in April 2015, Huawei’s SingleSON solution is a market leading solution among Self Organizing Networks (SON) technology and solution providers.
