NCE (Transport Domain) offers a variety of functions and features, such as real-time resource visualization and automatic network O&M, to meet the requirements of enterprise private lines and Data Center Interconnect (DCI) in terms of service experience, network flexibility, and high efficiency. It is the key component of Huawei Optical Intelligence and applies to a wide range of transmission network scenarios, including backbone, metro, and enterprise access network scenarios. NCE (Transport Domain) helps overcome the typical challenges associated with the traditional network structure and O&M mode. It provides accurate network resource data and a consistent O&M mode, enables rapid provisioning of private lines, delivers clearly defined network latency, and offers flexible service deployment.

Network Visualization

Unified performance data collection and unified inventory management: NCE (Transport Domain) detects network status in real time and supports multi-dimensional data visualization and data presentation in reports. Resource visualization: Graphical display of resource utilization, including wavelength, sub-wavelength, and port usage, helps engineers learn the real-time status of network-wide resources, quickly identify potential and current bottlenecks, and plan trails or perform capacity expansion.

Service Deployment & Provisioning Automation

Automatic deployment of CPE and pre-provisioning of service trails: Private line services can be provisioned quickly, similar to home broadband services, and are available as soon as 30 minutes after CPEs are installed onsite, greatly improving user experience. Optical-connection bandwidth on demand (BOD): Users can perform agile provisioning of private line services, adjust bandwidth as required, specify the bandwidth calendar and multiple SLA levels, and use latency policies.

Intelligent and Proactive O&M

Network survivability analysis: NCE (Transport Domain) can simulate network faults, analyze service robustness, identify network bottlenecks, and provide guidance on precise network capacity expansion, allowing engineers to take proactive action. Proactive assurance of key services: NCE (Transport Domain) supports model mapping of key events and services, shields complex technology details, simplifies service monitoring operations, and speed up the fault response.

Scenario-based Interface

Based on the three-layer model (device, network, and service), NBIs provide multiple atomic services and the scenario-driven programmable platform. They also support customized development of scenario-based workflows and implement automatic or semi-automatic intent design, execution, and optimization processes. These features simplify routine network maintenance, reduce repeated work, lower skill requirements, and automate the O&M process.
The RESTful NBI of NCE (Transport Domain), based on the YANG model and ACTN standard, quickly integrates with upper-layer application systems, such as BSSs/OSSs, and supports customized development of various apps, accelerating service innovation and implementing e-commerce operation.
