RTN 980L

RTN 980L is the new generation IP longhaul microwave tailored to fit ultra-broadband and all-IP trends. RTN 980L supports a maximum capacity of 16 Gbit/s, IF combination, as well as the aggregation of 12 links in an enhanced physical link aggregation (EPLA) group. It can be flexibly deployed and serves as a major complement in fixed transmission scenarios where deploying fibers is difficult.

ALL-IP: Uniform TDM/Hybrid/Packet platform, support Evolution Smoothly

  • RTN980L can process all kinds of services separately or mixed in the radio base on the most advanced uniform TDM/Hybrid/Packet architecture, including E1/STM-1, native Ethernet, and PWE3/MPLS E1/Ethernet, and so on. It not only meets the current requirements of the longhaul microwave network, but also that of the evolution to the pure packet longhaul microwave network in the future.
  • Agile: Most Flexible Design and support IF Combination

  • RTN980L has flexible design with full indoor, split mount and all outdoor installation methods, and also support 2+0 or 3+0 lightweight BU, suit for the challenges from the different deployment scenarios. RTN980 has unified platform for flexible scheduling, and support multi-service access and mix pass, for matching various scenarios. 
  • High Capacity: Large bandwidth and high capacity

  • RTN980L provide high capacity with 16Gbps/32*STM-1 Ultra High Capacity per Antenna. The throughput can reach up to 1Gbps/channel in condition of 56M/1024QAM, by Bandwidth Accelerator technology. 
  • For the common scenarios with large-granule Ethernet services in the longhaul microwave network, RTN980L support aggregate up to 12 links to one logical linkto transmit large-granule service with the advanced EPLA(Enhanced Physical Link Aggregation) technology, and N+1 protection for the both TDM and Ethernet service, especially the maximum number of N is up to 11, which is much stronger than the traditional longhaul microwave equipments.
  • RTN980L already support 10GE air interface for large bandwidth requirement in future.
