The OptiX OSN 9800 P series is OptiX OSN 9800 P32, which is the industry's first commercially available optical cross-connect (OXC) product. It is mainly deployed on the ROADM nodes of transmission backbone and metro networks to deliver high bandwidth and low latency within a small footprint. In addition, this product enables efficient grooming and fast provisioning of large-granularity services on core nodes, and features large cross-connect capacity, high device/board integration, and high reliability, meeting the requirements of carrier-class long-term use.
Huawei OXC Based on optical backplane technology with high reliability and low insertion loss, Huawei OXC integrates multiple independent boards in the traditional ROADM solution. This simplifies site deployment and reduces equipment footprint by 80% and optical-layer commissioning time by 80%. Huawei OXC uses industry-leading liquid crystal on silicon (LCoS) switching technology to implement the Pbit/s cross-connect capacity and up to 32 degrees of optical cross-connect grooming, meeting the requirements for mesh interconnection and large-capacity grooming of carriers' high-value traffic. It resolves the problem of complex fiber connections at traditional ROADM sites and simplifies optical-layer connections, achieving "0" intra-site fiber connections at the optical layer. In additon, Huawei OXC detects built-in digital optical parameters to sense fiber quality, wavelength performance, wavelength utilization, and wavelength paths in real time, implementing digital O&M at the optical layer to greatly improve network O&M efficiency.
